The lovely and stylish French Blue gave us a shout-out in their blog post about Pink Ruffles!

The always fabulous ladies at Knickers gave our PARTY this SATURDAY a plug on their Bargains page.

Must-read blog, A Gift Wrapped Life, gave us a very sweet mention on their site - what a nice surprise! Thank you Sande!

The 'Gals in the Know' have not only posted about us as a "great lingerie site", but also has us shown in their sidebar as a featured website. Cool!

Whew, this week was filled with so much blogger kindness! We have several sites to thank for their Frou Frou Fashionista/Faire Frou Frou (whew, tongue-twister!) posts in the past 7 days. We sincerely appreciate your kind words; they truly brighten our day! Also, while we're on the topic of giving thanks, thank you to our readers and also to those who leave wonderful comments.
What a joy!

With bridal season upon us, we thought it fitting to do a post on 'bridal lingerie'. Of course, beautiful white lingerie is not just limited to brides! Most of our non-bridal customers are those who are buying pieces like what you see in this post! And we completely understand that - who could resist such pretty pieces?
Now that we think about it, we will likely do another post next week featuring bridal blue lingerie...as well as affordable suggestions for bridal shower/bachelorette party gifts.

Bordelle

This is our favorite look (above)!

We are so excited to share a fairly new high-fashion lingerie label with you; Bordelle. Bordelle is a London-based brand that specializes in dramatic, fashion-forward intimate apparel. There's no boring lingerie in this collection! We love that the brand has distinguished itself with its signature ribbon-band style. We learned about Bordelle last year, and can't believe it's taken this long to share it with you (but sometimes we need to keep secrets on new brands we're considering carrying...).
The Bordelle online boutique is opening this June (coming up soon!)...so you can sign up now to be notified of when their store is officially open. Many of the pieces featured in this post are from the new (soon to be launched) Fall/Winter collection.
Would you like to see this at Faire Frou Frou? We hope so!

Bring It Up - Live Video Feed Tonight at 7pm PST!

Bring It Up is one of our favorite 'breast accessories' as it gives your breasts the lift they need without the assistance of a bra! We can't tell you how many ladies have come to our boutique looking for something that will give them the proper lift when they are wearing a dress or top that does not allow them to wear a bra.
To learn more about Bring It Up and the wonders of its support, check out the Bring It Up LIVE online show this evening (May 26) at 7pm PST. This show features the Bring It Up product line, fashion "do's" and "don'ts" as well as special discount offers.

Huit Lingerie

all images courtesy of Huit

Huit is a wonderful French lingerie brand that is very popular with our customers. Pretty much everyone who shops with us loves the basic/t-shirt bras from their 'Just a Kiss' collection - we're obsessed with ours! In any event, if you love the fit of their basic bras, then that love-affair will continue with their Spring 2009 fashion collection. Currently, the Huit lingerie collection is broken into 4 groups: Glamour, Graphics, Fashion, and Essentials. The above images represent items from the Spring line. Of couse, there is also the Huit swimwear collection, which was the basis for the brand nearly 40 years ago.

A Bit of Eye Candy

We discovered this image over on Captivate Me, and just had to share. A beautiful portrait by Kate Orne, and an equally beautiful bustier!

Bruno Dayan; Lingerie & Beautiful Photography

Don't you just love the ostrich feathers on her heels?!

images copyright, Bruno Dayan
NOTE: We did some minor editing to some of the photos (#1 & #3) so that the models would not appear topless/exposed. We want our readers to feel comfortable that there will not be any nudity on our blog!
For the original images, visit Bruno Dayan's website.

While looking up images from the Chantal Thomass website, we were curious who did the photography on her site. We were fortunate to discover the name Bruno Dayan, who happens to be an amazing photographer who uses quite a bit of lingerie in his work! What luck for us!
We just fell in love with his work, as you can see why. In this post are some of his lighter images, and in a future post we will feature some of his photos with darker lingerie.
Admittedly, there isn't a ton of intimate apparel in these pictures, but we definitely get the 'boudoir' vibe from them.

Chantal Thomass - Flowers & Lingerie

How can you not love the images for the new Spring/Summer 2009 collection by Chantal Thomass? Thomass is a French lingerie designer, known for her ooh-la-la lingerie and her destination boutique on rue Saint-Honore in Paris.
We just love the floral concept worked into these photographs! Then again, Chantal Thomass never ceases to amaze us with her beautiful photo shoots for each collection. It's always a pleasure to see a designer who works with a talented photographer - it really makes a difference in their branding!
On a separate note, Chantal Thomass just released a book titled "Histoire de la Lingerie". It appears to have sketches & advertisements from lingerie over the years. We would love to get a copy! You can order yours here (though we're not sure if they deliver to the U.S.).

Audrey Tautou as Chanel in the up-coming "Coco Before Chanel"

A bit of lingerie debuted on the runway of Chanel's Cruise 2010 show in Venice this weekend. Perhaps Karl Lagerfeld is pushing for a lingerie-as-outerwear trend? We doubt it - but it sure makes for a fun runway presentation. The black bra actually works very well with the boucle suit, don't you agree?
Of course we could not complete this post without a mention of the up-coming "Coco Before Chanel" film. We just love Audrey Tautou (doesn't everyone?), so we're anxiously awaiting its release here in the U.S.

Bustiers Meant for a Performance

Rihanna in a Phillipe & David Blond bustier

This picture of Britney looks very poorly Photo-shopped, which distracts from how adorable her ensemble is!

While reading our favorite new blog, Blonde & Red, we discovered the designs of Phillipe & David Blond of The Blonds. They kind of sound like a rock group, and rightly so since they seem to be dressing today's music elite! The Blonds appear to do a lot of corset and bodysuit looks, but they also do dresses and ready-to-wear (not shown in this post). From their Spring 2009 runway collection we especially love the pink feather outfit shown at the top of this post. To see their full collection, visit their website. We can safely say that the theme of all of their looks is plenty of sparkle and pizzazz, which naturally makes for a show-stopping costume.
