Target launches Target Style channel on Facebook

Target has launched a new social media channel today, Target Style, on Facebook. The Minneapolis-based company calls it a "a fresh mix of fashion & beauty for the style hungry."

Some of what to expect: Every month a new fashion illustrator is going to create an original piece for the face of Target Style. Their first featured fashion illustrator is Stockholm-based Stina Persson. Also look for giveaways, special offers, beauty and fashion trend news, and behind-the-scene exclusive videos and Q&As with Target designers.

Target documentary to screen on CNBC

Target fans are going to want to set their TIVO for this one. A new documentary on the Minneapolis-based mass retailer and fast fashion outpost will be airing this weekend on CNBC for two nights only.

From the CNBC description:

George Draper Dayton and his sons took a small Minneapolis department store and changed the face of retail forever, consistently donating 5% of its revenue to charitable causes. Walking the fine line between value and luxury, Target mimics the prices of a big box discounter while retaining the cache of an urban boutique. Because of this unique dichotomy the company has managed to avoid many of the problems of its competitors, promoting the idea that a walk down its aisles is not a chore, but an adventure.

With keen insight from CEO Gregg Steinhafel, "Target: Behind the Bullseye" reveals how Target became both tastemaker and discount retailer extraordinaire while continually reminding its customers to "Expect More, Pay Less."

"Target: Inside the Bullseye" will premiere on Thursday, January 13 at 9 p.m. The documentary will repeat that evening at 10 p.m., midnight and 1 a.m.

The show will also air on Saturday, January 15 at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.

We love this photo shoot by Corrie Bond because it shows a realistic look of lounging in sexy lingerie. The reality is that we're not hanging out in garter belts and thigh highs all weekend, but more likely relaxing in a cozy sweater and boyshorts (or flannel pants and a college t-shirt!).
The top image is from a shoot she did for Target - we just love how cute this look is! Granted, this look is not quite as common/everyday as the others that we've posted, but it's sweet nonetheless.
Take a cue from Corrie Bond and relax in your skivvies this weekend!
