Local fashion link roundup: 4.11-4.22

It's been a busy week for local fashion, to say the least. Reviews and photos from last week's MNfashion Week poured in; Vita.mn released its spring fashion issue (which I styled) with a behind-the-scenes video; City Pages released its Best of the Twin Cities issue, with nods to local shops and a gorgeous mid-century-styled cover shoot featuring Jake Rudh and Jessa Alt.

muses and lenses: Benjamin Fredrickson photography

Photographer Benjamin Fredrickson is one of the brightest talents to come out of Minneapolis. His work has been featured in subversive, gay-centric photography magazine BUTT and online magazine Oakazine, and he's currently based out of New York and working for e-shop Oak NYC. His photography typically features a lot of nude men and gay sexuality, but here's a smattering of his work that is safe for my blog. View more at www.benjaminfredrickson.com or Ben's Polaroid blog, if you dare.

Minneapolis homeboy/photographer Ben Fredrickson models some accessories for Oak NYC's website. Not that long ago he moved to New York to work for Oak and its self-published Oakazine, where he's had some of his original garments published.

Ben Fredrickson featured in Oakazine

Many locals know Ben Fredrickson for his amazing photography (he's been regularly featured in national gay mag Butt) and for his distinct fashion sense. It shouldn't come as a surprise that Ben also happens to be a clothing designer, too. The LOL/OMG! blog just reported today that a poncho he made was featured in the new Oakazine published by Oak NYC. Ben recently moved to New York and now works for Oak, and reportedly plans to pursue his photography career and do more fashion-related shoots.
