Eres Swimwear 2009

While looking over the Norma Kamali swimwear yesterday, we couldn't help but be reminded of the current Eres swimwear group. It too has a retro look, though a bit more understated with a little less frou-frou. Of course Eres is known for their elegant swimwear, and for the past 11 years they have created luxury lingerie as well.
We were fortunate to view the collection in person, and were delighted to see numerous styles and color options. The only problem is that Eres does not show many of their designs online, so we only have a handful of images to share with you. If you can make it into one of their boutiques, we think you would enjoy seeing the full group - we remember just loving so many of the swimsuits! Retro Swimwear from Norma Kamali

Ahh, we're loving the high-waisted bikini bottoms - such a big trend in lingerie and swim this season! We discovered the new Norma Kamali swimwear collection thanks to the beautiful Captivate Me blog...don't you just love it?!? The designs are inspiring and lovely, and filled with 1940s glamour. In general we enjoy swimwear much more than we enjoy actually swimming - anyone agree with us on this?
We will be posting more swimwear this week since we have new swim arrivals from Fleur T and Mimi Holliday.

Special Giveaway for Faire Frou Frou Customers

We are pleased to announce a giveaway we're doing at Faire Frou Frou - it's a free portrait session with Los Angeles-based studio Transition Photography. For every customer that spends $300 or more in one shot at our Studio City boutique, you are given a gift certificate valued between $75-$125 for a photo shoot. It's that easy!
We have a limited number of gift certificates to give out, so the sooner you come by the better! We think this will especially benefit our bridal customers as well as those looking to do a boudoir shoot. The company also does a wide variety of work, including family portraits, headshots, and so forth.

Guia la Bruna - New Spring Collection

The new Guia la Bruna collection is now available for purchase, and it's just as sweet as ever! We brought 3 groups into our store, including the very popular Lolita's Soul (the mint-colored items with the white dots). Every season Lolita's Soul sells well, not only because it's adorable, but because the fit is wonderful...particularly with the chemise. Another classic group we brought in is Beauty Queen. It looks a little unfamiliar this season because it is in white eyelet, and we typically see it in satin with ribbon trim (in previous seasons). The bottom line is that everyone loves eyelet, so it was natural that we brought these pieces in this season. And lastly, we brought in a set called Mr. Sandman's Babe. This is a new group for us, but you can see why we brought it in because of the sparkly fuchsia star pattern - so cute!!
Overall, we're very pleased with the new pieces and know that they will get a positive response here at the boutique! Included in this post are the items we are offering as well as other items from the Spring collection.

Our dream event took place not too long ago...a lingerie runway show featuring the latest collections from Carine Gilson, Fifi Chachnil and Agent Provocateur! This event, known as Lingerie Miami, was a fundraising effort that benefits impoverished women living around the world. Hosted by Eva Longoria Parker, the fundraiser featured the top lingerie designers in the world, which also happen to be some of our favorites as well!
We will share more Fifi Chachnil images as we receive some of her new collection in July/August. We included a lot of Carine Gilson images because they appear to be from her current collection, and were all too fantastic not to share.
We're hoping to attend their next lingerie event in 2010...in NYC...we're crossing our fingers!
